The purpose of the association is to promote youth welfare and education. In particular, he would like to support young people in their individual and social development and help avoid or reduce disadvantages.

This is what KidBike e. V. in its work areas traffic schools, school projects, girls' bicycle workshops and international exchanges in the form of non-formal educational offers.

Against this background, KidBike e. V. has set the goal of supporting young people of all backgrounds in the areas of mobility education, learning bicycle technology and traffic safety as well as career orientation. He is particularly interested in dealing with the issues of equal opportunities, cycling culture nationally and internationally, as well as experiencing individual mobility and encouraging girls and young women in the field of technology.

Through these offers, young people with and without a migration and refugee background are empowered to participate in and help shape society. The basic principles of KidBike are based on children's rights in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (November 20, 1989).

KidBike e. V. opposes any form of violence, racism, discrimination based on ethnicity, origin, gender, sexual orientation and religion. KidBike e. V. uses educational methods such as helping people to help themselves, the peer-to-peer approach, gender-sensitive work, non-violent communication, participation and democracy education.

KidBike e. V. is a recognized provider of free youth welfare in accordance with Section 75 SGB VIII.

KidBike e. V. stands behind the UN Conventions on the Rights of the Child and has committed itself to the general Child protection committed to all of his projects. In addition to our own child protection concept, we have made it our mission to train all employees (voluntary, employed, freelance). In addition to child protection, we are currently working together on the idea of a diversity policy.
